The Story Behind Our Craft
Our journey begins with wood. A material of unrepeatable beauty, shaped by soil, light, and season, carrying time in its grain before it is ever touched by a hand. Each wooden minaudière is made in close collaboration with our master artisan in the Swiss Jura. Veneer is selected with care, cut and finished with precision, every clasp hand-carved and distinct. From this foundation, LAYESION works outward - across noble materials, across forms, always guided by the same standard of craft, producing only what earns its place.
OUR FOUNDER
Two Worlds
The brand was founded in Switzerland in 2019 by Flavia Nicole Laye-Sion, whose sensibility was shaped by two profoundly different landscapes — the volcanic lushness of the Seychelles, and the precision of Swiss craft tradition. She draws from nature, architecture, historical art and traditional craft, always in pursuit of the same thing: beauty that rewards closer looking. LAYESION is where that pursuit takes form.
