The Grain
Wood grain is so much more than a beautiful pattern. It’s a memory.
A record of each season, each shift in light, each year of water and wind. It carries time the way pages carry words.
There something meditative in tracing the lines. In understanding that what you hold once stood, once breathed, once reached for the sky. That even still, it holds the rhythm of its growth.
The grain does not follow trends. It follows its own timeline. It is shaped by conditions beyond control - imperfect, irregular, alive. It reminds us that beauty isn’t always clean or symmetrical. Sometimes it moves in spirals, sometimes it disappears and reappears, sometimes it holds scars.
We are drawn to the beauty of this kind of truth - the kind you can feel through your fingertips, the kind that doesn’t need explanation.
So we don’t shape the story. We shape around it.
